iPhone 17e Launched in India with A19 Chip, 256GB Storage and MagSafe

Apple has officially introduced the iPhone 17e, expanding its 2026 lineup with a more accessible option that still carries many modern upgrades. The new iPhone 17e focuses on performance, storage, and everyday usability rather than premium extras, making it a practical choice for a wide range of users.

What stands out immediately is the inclusion of the latest A19 chip, doubled base storage, and MagSafe support—features that were either limited or missing in earlier “e” models. With a starting price of around ₹64,900 in India, the iPhone 17e positions itself as a balanced upgrade for users who want a newer iPhone without spending flagship-level money.

iPhone 17e Price and Availability in India

The iPhone 17e starts at ₹64,900 for the 256GB variant, while the 512GB model goes up to ₹84,900. Pre-orders begin on March 4, and the device will be available for purchase starting March 11.

Globally, the pricing starts at $599, which aligns with Apple’s strategy of offering a lower-cost entry into the iPhone 17 series.

iPhone 17e Design and Display

The iPhone 17e sticks to a familiar design language, closely resembling its predecessor. It features a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch and standard 60Hz refresh rate. While it misses out on higher refresh rates and Dynamic Island, the display still delivers strong color accuracy and brightness.

Apple has improved durability with Ceramic Shield 2 protection and an IP68 rating, making it more resistant to drops, water, and dust.

The device comes in three color options: black, white, and a new soft pink finish.

iPhone 17e Performance Powered by A19 Chip

One of the biggest upgrades in the iPhone 17e is the A19 processor. Built on a 3nm architecture, it delivers better efficiency and performance compared to the previous generation.

In daily use, this means smoother multitasking, faster app launches, and improved gaming performance. The phone also includes Apple’s new C1X modem, which improves connectivity speeds and reduces power consumption.

Although it may not match the GPU performance of higher-end iPhone 17 models, it remains more than capable for most users.

iPhone 17e Camera: 48MP Fusion Sensor Brings Real Improvements

The iPhone 17e features a 48MP Fusion rear camera, which enables detailed photos and introduces a 2x telephoto option without needing a dedicated lens.

Image quality has improved, especially in low light and portrait shots. Apple’s computational photography helps deliver natural colors and better depth effects. The camera can also shoot 4K Dolby Vision video, making it suitable for content creators.

On the front, the device uses a 12MP camera for selfies and video calls.

iPhone 17e Battery and Charging Features

Battery life is another area where the iPhone 17e sees noticeable improvement. Apple claims all-day usage thanks to better power efficiency from the A19 chip and modem.

Charging options include USB-C fast charging, which can reach around 50 percent in 30 minutes, along with MagSafe wireless charging up to 15W.

The addition of MagSafe is particularly important, as it opens up compatibility with a wide range of accessories.

iPhone 17e Software Experience with iOS 26

The iPhone 17e runs on iOS 26, bringing updated design elements and new AI-driven features under Apple Intelligence.

Users can expect features like live translation, smarter photo editing tools, and improved call management. The software experience remains one of the strongest reasons to consider an iPhone, especially for long-term updates and ecosystem integration.
